This new launch of The Live Wire is what I am calling the Initial Public Offering. Not only is it a play on the business I am steadily beginning to despise, it symbolizes my intent to share my thoughts with the world (or those simply kind enough to read these pages). The Live Wire started as an electronic newsletter of sorts to family and friends while I was on the island of Puerto Rico. It then developed into a simple blog; eventually moving to a more complex blog on a host server with the domain name michaeltjordan.com.

After fooling with the design a number of times, I finally stumbled upon the last straw when I was unable to control my site the way I wanted so that it would be visually pleasing to all - regardless of their choice of web browser. Enter my ace (well… #2 literally) and partner in crime Ron Sims. After touring China and posing as a teacher of a language he barely grasps himself, Ron returned home to Cleveland. Among other things, this award winning podcaster has been helping me with the general direction and setup of my site. With great effort behind the scenes, we have moved to a more reliable and intuitive web host service and the logo you now see is thanks to Mr. Sims.

Now I feel comfortable enough sharing my odd perspectives on life, current events and frankly anything else I find interesting. The site has already helped in ways I could not have imagined as I have started down a path I never thought possible until now (more to follow on this topic). I’m glad you are along with me for this journey and I hope that you will share with others. More often than not, I will post general information or news that I find interesting. These posts will not be creatively stimulating on my part. Instead, they will be my commitment to updating content and letting blog readers know that they are free to stop in daily. The true reflective nature of my keyboard will spring to life on a weekly basis at worst. I hope to speak more about politics, sports, health issues and things that should but probably aren’t being discussed.

This site will also have mirror domains such as thelivewireonline.com. As I begin to brand the site and my work, I will use this as more of a professional name. If you have bookmarked my site, fear not because it will still work. This is just what we call a little “heads up”. Be sure to write comments when you feel so inclined and drop me feedback through the contact page.

Oh yeah before I forget. People have asked me about the name thing. I am experimenting with using my middle name Terrell in hopes that it will separate me from the endless web hits for Michael Jordan (the other guy). Without really altering my identity, I can have a pen name that is not synonomous with an Aquarious, bald headed Que…wait, that would be me too.
