A native of Hartford, CT, Michael Terrell attended Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH. An economics major and investment professional by training, his personal pursuits have put him on an exploratory path. Living by the motto “life is not about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself”, he has found that writing in particular has helped unlock an expressive talent. Currently a blogger and freelance writer, Michael’s passions include reading, writing, traveling, race relations studies and community involvement.
As a former member and President of the Urban League of Greater Hartford’s Young Professionals, his volunteer involvement has been extensive over the years. Other organizational involvements include, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the Travelers Championship, the YMCA Minority Achiever’s Program, the Doc Hurley Scholarship Foundation and ulcareercenter.com.
After a sabbatical as an English teacher in his family’s homeland of Puerto Rico, Michael now resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife Felicia, daughter Maylia and dog Jackpot.
